    Hillary rebuffs gay marriage proposal

    Posted by: Chris

No, she hasn't rejected some new effort to convince her to back marriage equality for same-sex couples, and she hasn't finally come clean about those lesbian rumors. But there's a gay angle to that light story this week about the man at a Nevada campaign event who yelled, "Hillary, marry me baby!" In case you missed it, here's the video:

Now comes word, via CNN's Jeanie Most, that the young man who made the proposal describes himself as "mostly gay" on his MySpace profile.

Perhaps his gay marriage proposal came out of desperation, since Hillary and the other leading Dems won't let him marry the gender that he is "mostly" involved with -- whatever that means.

CNN's Most assumed Hillary's response to the effect that she'd "probably be arrested" was a reference to her would-be suitor's age, which at 21 would not be a problem, though I assumed it was a reference to polygamy since she does already have a husband. Maybe her gaydar was so attuned that she imagined an entirely different reason the proposed nuptials wouldn't be legal…
