How to get married in Calif.
Posted by: Andoni
June 14 will be the first day same sex couples will be able to marry in California. Because the state has no residency requirement and no blood test requirement, a couple can get married in one day.
If you are thinking of getting married in California, here are the official rules.
Note that the official web page still says one man and one woman, but I'm sure that will be fixed soon

I haven't commented on this before, but this seems as good a time as any. As a gay-friendly (alright, I'll claim my title, as an old school fag hag) Californian, I truly believe that this is the beginning of the end of the gay marriage debate in this country. By November, so many gay people are going to be married, and the world will not, in fact, have come to an end, that the debate is going to become, literally, academic. I have two friends, a lesbian couple, who have been together twenty years. That's the longest standing couple of any I know in my generation. They're getting married on June 17. They did it once before, and it didn't take, but I am absolutely convinced that this time it will. I plan to be there, and celebrate with them that finally, inevitably, our State has done the right thing.
